Dr. Jeannette Furtak, DPM

Dr. Furtak has practiced Podiatric Medicine in Edmonton, AB since 1988. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 1983 and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University in Iowa in 1987. Her postgraduate training was in Vancouver, BC. She started her own practice in 1991.

She believes in careful diagnosis and tailoring the treatment plan to the patient with the patient’s collaboration. When it is in the patient’s best interest, she will refer to various other doctors and health professionals.

Dr. Furtak enjoys seeing patients walking out of the office with more foot comfort than when they arrived.

Our Staff

Dr. Furtak’s practice, Greenways Podiatric Services Inc, shares office space and staff with a family physician. Charlene is the full time medical office assistant, and Wendy and Diane are part time staff. We welcome patients of all ages to our pleasant wheelchair accessible office. Our office has participated in the College of Physicians and Surgeons Infection Prevention and Control Program for our Instrument reprocessing.

Marie Wahl

Marie has been assisting Dr. Furtak with podiatric care since July 2015. She had foot health professional education and training in Lille, France for four years and had her own practice in Strasbourg, France for ten years. She had additional training in Sports Podology and Posturology and brings some European methods to help patients. Our francophone patients particularly appreciate Marie’s part time presence.
